Yo Mama's Grill

Awesome. Great food. Great staff. Met the owner who was super cool and down to earth. Very popular and busy. Had a great burger. Loved it. Their fries had the perfect seasoning and crisp.

Amazing! We were traveling thru. Seen this place and cannot complain. We placed an order to go and while we waited had a drink at the bar. Cannot complain. We ordered the Bosque Burger/fries and Turkey Avocado Crossaint/fries plus beer and martini while we waited. Clean, nice atmosphere, great food and drinks!! Would definitely recommend.

Hamburger with green chilies was FABULOUS. Came perfectly medium rare. French fries were nice and hot. Also had green chili stew that was made with beef slices and it was great but a little salty. Also got the grilled vegetables and a very generous side salad. Excellent service and very reasonable prices!

Was looking for a quick bite while heading south, and I found this gem! This place was great, was met at the door and seated right away. Three boys and I were hungry, and this place did not disappoint! I had the Bosque Burger and the boys got yo mama's burger and chicken strips... I was not expecting the kick of the Lemitar Green Chile! Finally a place that doesn't water down the green chile and allow me to burn a hole in my face as I feel necessary! Can't wait to eat here again! Did I mention the chips salsa and queso? Perfect starter!

Very friendly diner / light bar, with good food, good local brew, and a wonderful family-type atmosphere. All the food was fresh and local, with a hardy burger along with more 'healthy' options that tasted just as good.

Absolutely lovely place to eat! The staff was amazing! And Yo Mama was the sweetest, most down to earth owner ever. Yo Papa put his foot in the food! Very delicious. This place is a must try.

Beer was nice and cold while the food was fresh and hot. Liked this place. They had a nice selection of craft beer and food. Weird thing- I asked for Hatch Chile on my Philly Cheese Steak and Erika, my awesome wait person, told me that they had Lamentar Chile which she said was better and it was! Still spicy but better tasting. Even the salad was awesome. It is an old Denny’s building but they changed some things, added wood and lighting to make it look cooler. Will come back.

Dining out for dinner in the winter months in Socorro has limited options as many of the restaurants close early. I spoke with the manager at one place and he said ever since Covid, the majority of diners came in during the daytime. So we were glad we found Yo Mama's Grill on the first night we were in town. They serve until 8pm most nights so we arrived around 6:30 and were quickly seated. They were doing a brisk business with almost every table taken. The staff were friendly, hostess seated us and our server soon arrived with menus and to take drink orders. I will warn you, the place can be rather loud when it is full of happy customers but that was ok with us. We all decided to forego an appetizer, even though they all sounded great, but ordered our entrees instead. It didn't take long and salads were soon on the table, which we quickly enjoyed and then they whisked our entrees out of the kitchen to our table, piping hot and carefully plated. We tried the Rib Eye steak, grilled perfectly, a large salad topped with chunks of their fried chicken, grilled salmon over rice and some steak brochettes with grilled veggies over rice. We also ordered a nice bottle of wine! When in Socorro I highly recommend Yo Mama's for a good meal!
